I grew up in a little house at kampung during a time when everyone treated each other like family
👨👩👧👦. We went outside to play on open ground, jungle, river, build dens and make tower defense
🚩, we got dirty and bruises all over.
We didn't eat fast food
🍟
🍔at all because there were none... we ate home made food
🍛.. We got our fruits from our farm. We got no brand ice cream, we made our own ice cream stick.
We played police and thief
👮(polisintip), "zero point", "kingking", swimming/diving in the river, catching fish, adventurous game, planting vegetables, coffee/koko trees, harvesting. Hide and seek
🙈 and many more. We drank water from the boiled tap water or even direct from the gravity water channelled through halved bamboo
🚰if we had a drink we would share the same bottle of pop... after giving it a wipe with our mucky sleeves.
We had no kids tv channels
📺 rode our bikes
🚲 for hours. There was no such thing as a mobile phone or any other electronic device
📵. We weren't AFRAID OF ANYTHING. If someone had a fight, that's what it was... a fist fight
👊. Kids didn't have guns
🔫 or knives
🔪. We make our own "lastik" & "sumpit"
The sunset
⛅ were your curfew or until your mum shouted out the window. School was mandatory, but you'd still wag a couple of lessons every now and then
✏️
📒. We ate noodles in school like a dog
😂
😂 We watched our mouths around our elders
👴
👵because we knew we'd get a crack, belt or some shoe , slipper
👞
👠or even a long stick...
